|Date:||Nov 23, 1–3 PM|
|Age Range:||9 to 14|
|Description:||What does the video game Fortnite have in common with the works of William Shakespeare? Both can teach us a lot about how new words and phrases are created and popularized. In this creative writing workshop, students will use inventive language to invent fabulous treasures, describe defensive fortifications, and plan daring heists. Drawing on mythology, literature, and pop culture, this fun-filled workshop is perfect for students ages 9 and up who have always wanted to game by their own rules.|
|Teacher Bio:||Mike has been a game designer, crisis counselor, documentary film editor, and wizard. He has built dozens of forts, mostly out of pillows, but sometimes out of dreams.|
