|Workshop:||Echo Park: My Dad Writes Weird|
|Date:||May 5, 1–3 PM|
|Age Range:||10 to 14|
|Description:||In this workshop, we’ll practice writing in different characters’ voices, by imagining and writing letters in the voice of various people (or pets, or objects) in our lives. You’ll learn how to develop character and write great dialogue, a skill that will help you develop your own narrative voice in whatever books, plays, scripts, or other creative writing you dream of doing. We’ll then have professional actors perform/read the letters aloud so you can hear your words come to life.|
